dotSquared is run by Vanessa Eley who has over 18 years experience in the web development industry and many more in photography. An interest in all things digital was initially ignited by an adventure in San Francisco where passion for the web in the late ’90s couldn’t be avoided. On returning to the UK, Vanessa worked for a well established web production company in Brighton for seven years before setting-up dotSquared in 2007.
Vanessa’s background prior to the web has always been based around the creative industries. After completing a B.A (Hons) in Editorial Photography at The University of Brighton where she gained a first in her major project, Vanessa moved to London and worked for various ‘cutting-edge’ publications and public relations agencies including Dazed & Confused Magazine and Henry’s House PR. Vanessa looked after clients such as Tango, Rankin Photography and Edinburgh Festival comedians. This background is regularly drawn upon for effectively designing and marketing a company’s message.
